This February, we celebrate those among our change-making community who are deeply engaged through many avenues—education, advocacy, healthcare, and economic development—to address systemic challenges of racial inequity.
Below you will learn about two executive education courses engineered by CPL affiliates: Promoting Racial Equity in the Workplace with Robert Livingston and Power, Innovation, and Leadership with Latosha Brown and the Social Innovation + Change Initiative.
CPL’s Practicing Democracy Project, led by Marshall Ganz, is leading a Race and Restoration Public Leadership Cohort at HKS this semester; learn about it below.
The leadership journeys of many of our student fellows are fueled by the cause of combatting inequality. We include profiles of current fellows Jalen Benson, a dual-degree student at HKS and Harvard Medical School working on healthcare equity, and Ruvimbo Mushavi, who has worked with the UN in Zimbabwe to reduce violence against women and girls. You will also meet CPL alum Caleb Gayle, an award-winning author and journalist who is currently a fellow at Harvard Radcliffe Institute.
We have included a recent paper by CPL affiliate David Wood on racial equity and responsible investing. Finally, see a recap of a recent event on reparations for Black Americans, moderated by CPL’s Cornell William Brooks.
We are grateful for the innovative and determined work of our community to further equity, change, and societal healing.
