Thank you to all who have welcomed me so warmly to my new role at CPL and to all of you who contribute in myriad ways to the vibrant life of the center and our alumni community. I will continue to gain inspiration from your important work and seek your feedback and ideas as we embark upon this exciting new chapter.
We are grateful to assemble back in person on the HKS campus! On September 1, CPL welcomed 135 fellows from around the globe—our largest cohort ever. They join a community of distinguished leaders in practice, skilled and dedicated staff, and internationally renowned and thought-leading faculty. Into our newly configured space, designed to facilitate collaboration within our community, we have welcomed 19 faculty in residence.
At CPL, we are dedicated to shaping the global conversation around public leadership and to the development of principled and effective public leaders and leadership. Through this academic year, I will send you missives “From the Director’s Desk” illuminating the work of our extraordinary colleagues and students.
Today I’m delighted to celebrate two of our faculty—Julie Battilana and Robert Livingston—who are sparking and shaping urgent public conversations related to combatting racism and inequality. Both have just recently published intellectually significant and publicly relevant and useful books, which offer thoughtful guidance for us all in our personal and professional lives. You can read more about them and their writing below.
Please stay connected, share your ideas, and update us on your own news. We have a collective calling to advance principled and effective public leadership in historically challenging and, hopefully, transformational times.
Wishing you a happy, healthy, and productive launch to the new academic year,
|
