Library + IT Pop-Ups

The HKS Library and Information Technology (IT) are joining forces to make sure you have what you need to start the semester right! We'll be in the Sunshine Lobby to help you install Zotero, set up online access to news sources, and enable printing from your own device. We can also answer any questions, and give you plenty of candy and swag.

IT Printing Drop-In

​Don’t wait until the last minute to print your class materials! Setting up printing on your own device as early in the semester as possible will save you time and stress. Join the friendly folks from Information Technology (IT) in the Library Commons to make sure you’re ready to print when you need to. They can walk you through the setup process and help you troubleshoot. ​​​​​​​Instructions for printing at HKS are available on the IT Knet site.

Join an upcoming Intro to Library Research session to learn how to make the most out of HKS and Harvard Library resources in your coursework and research projects. We'll cover using popular databases, finding books and articles in HOLLIS, and accessing specialized research services throughout the Harvard Library system. These sessions are open to all HKS affiliates.

Behind the Book on Anthony Saich's From Rebel to Ruler

Behind the Book is a video series that dives into books authored by HKS faculty, co-produced by the HKS Library and the Office of Communications & Public Affairs (OCPA).

Our latest video features Anthony Saich's From Rebel to Ruler: 100 Years of the Chinese Communist Party, published by Harvard University Press. The book charts the rise of the CCP from its early days as a small band of young men who navigated a treacherous political landscape to eventually become an economic superpower rivaling the U.S.
 

Tours of Houghton & Widener Libraries

The HKS Library is one of many libraries at Harvard! While Harvard affiliates can visit any library they'd like, many are also open to visiting researchers and the public. Two Harvard Libraries - Houghton & Widener - also offer weekly tours.

Return of the Harvard Library Passport

Speaking of other libraries, the Harvard Library Passport is back after a long, pandemic-imposed hiatus! The goal of the Passport is to visit every Harvard Library, marking your booklet and learning about each library along the way. Pick up a Passport at participating Harvard Libraries, including the HKS Library! And, while you're here, make sure to ask for an HKS Library sticker to mark your booklet.
