A driving force: CPL co-founder David Gergen to retire

CPL's David Gergen has announced that he will retire at the end of 2023. In his over two decades at Harvard Kennedy School, Gergen, a trusted advisor to multiple U.S. presidents, has devoted himself to fostering new generations of public leaders.  

In a message to the HKS community, Dean Doug Elmendorf celebrated Gergen's leadership in establishing CPL as well as his mentorship and support for "countless young people committed to lives of service." CPL looks forward to celebrating Gergen's service, scholarship, and leadership.
