Seminar series
Diversity in Development
Hosted by the Growth Lab in coordination with the Harvard Kennedy School MPA/ID Program and its alumni community, the goal of this series is to better understand issues underlying discrimination and exclusion within the field of international development and identify collective steps that we can take to expand diversity in practice.
In session one, Profs. Zoe Marks and Dani Rodrik discussed facets of the problem of limited diversity in development and introduced frameworks for understanding the problem. In session two, Megan Hill, Lant Pritchett, Christy Thornton, and Meera Tiwari discussed goals of “development” and the extent to which a vision of development is shared.
Our next session, Experiencing and Undoing Discrimination in Development, will be held March 4. Register now to hear from MPA/ID alumni who are dealing with these issues on the ground every day. |
