Carr Center scholars identify key human rights issues in the coming year
To mark Human Rights Day last month, scholars affiliated with the Kennedy School’s Carr Center for Human Rights Policy offered commentaries on what they see as the major rights challenges for 2022. In a Carr Center report, these experts share insights on issues including the voting rights challenge in the United States (Keisha N. Blain), white supremacist violence and a path toward a new world (Megan Ming Francis), ways to combat economic inequality (Jacqueline Bhabha), promoting democracy abroad and at home (Kathryn Sikkink), and many more. HKS Professor and Carr Center Faculty Director Mathias Risse concludes the report with an appeal to the United States and Europe to get together to regulate the field of artificial intelligence more effectively. |
