Happy International Day of Persons with Disabilities! |

Disability Policy & Accessibility |
International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) just took place on December 3. Designated by the United Nations in 1992, IDPD is observed annually to "promote the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities at every level of society and development."
In honor of IDPD, the HKS Library has curated a selection of books and other resources on the relationship between disability, accessibility, policy, law, civil rights, and communities. The intersection of these topics speak to important questions about how governments worldwide are pursuing coordinated policy programs in service of community members with disabilities, who make up 15-20% of the global population. |
